Bagnoregio is a small town and Civita Bagnoregio is better known as il paese che muore (in Italian: “the dying town”).Civita has only recently been experiencing a tourist discover. The town is noted for its striking position atop a plateau of friable volcanic tuff overlooking the Tiber river valley, in constant danger of destruction as its edges fall off, leaving the buildings built on the plateau to crumble. As of 2004, there are plans to reinforce the plateau with steel rods to prevent further geological damage.

Probably Orvieto is represented up to its wonderfull Duomo (Roman Cathedral). The Cathedra is situated in a big square dominating the town of Orvieto. The cathedral is a classic piece of religious construction, with many elements of design from the 14th until 20th century, with a large and famous rose window, golden mosaics and three huge bronze doors, while inside resides two frescoed chapels decorated by some of the best Italian painters of the period with images of Judgement Day.
